The National Electricity Market (NEM) is an industry driven project aiming to turn Australia's electricity system into one competitive, linked market. Dominated by polluting, coal-fired power companies, the NEM locks out clean energy technologies and discourages energy savings.

TEC is working to reform the NEM to ensure that it is more sustainable and efficient. In the short term, our goal is to ensure that the networks consider energy savings and distributed generation before they expand their infrastructure.
