Public Transport

The expansion of public transport is the key to creating a liveable city and reducing air pollution. Taking account of the major social, environmental and economic costs, it is also about three times cheaper cheaper than using cars. (per passenger km, House of Representatives Standing Committee on Environment and Heritage (2005).
