 Total Environment Centre is proud to announce the release of its new booklet, Detox Your Home: Easy Steps you can take for Safer and Healthier Home . Filled with ideas on how to reduce the chemical load of your home.
Many modern day illnesses such as asthma, allergies and hyperactivity
in children are now being linked to chemicals that we are exposed to
daily within our homes. It is now recognized that babies and young
children are at the greatest risk from this chemical exposure.
The Total Environment Centre’s Safer Solutions program today released the brochure Detox Your Home * that will equip readers with easy to use tips and advice on how to make homes safer and healthier.
The brochure provides information that includes:
• Explanations on what makes a house sick and steps for creating a healthier home
• Child safety tips and information for pregnant women
• A green cleaning kit – tried and true recipes to clean the home without chemicals
• Alternative renovating materials and information on how to reduce leftover paint and store chemicals safely
• Simple and environmentally friendly ways to manage garden pests.
