As a volunteer or staff member your efforts will help to preserve our beautiful world and all its ecosystems for future generations to enjoy. TEC is also a highly respected not for profit with 40 years experience in the environment, making it a strong addition to your CV.
Communications: TEC projects are driven by strong communications strategies. From AUSMAP to the Ocean Action POD and our Waste Not sequel project Mash It Up!, TEC reaches into the heart of communities just like yours. TEC chooses innovative ways to engage people with critical issues like microplastic pollution, land clearing and habitat destruction, as well as the exciting transitions we are making to a waste-free clean energy Australia built on a resilient circular economy.
If you have a passion for telling environment stories come and work with our rapidly expanding communications team, building our social media presence and contributing to our multi-media website.
Graphic Design: Graphics and illustration are essential to communicating our exciting projects.
If you are pursuing environment studies at a tertiary institution you can learn from the inside out how to engage with media, communities, councils and our parliamentary representatives.
High school educators: Mash It Up! is a new project we are partnering with the annual Youth Eco Summit held at Sydney Olympic Park. Our pilot project high school staff and students are busy collecting recycled materials to create a stunning Trashion Couture Parade for the mind-blowing Mash It Up! finale. Mash It Up! is the exciting sequel to our award winning Waste Not film and its education website which offers high school study resources for Science, Art, Geography and English. Waste Not which has already been screened in 30 countries and been used by 100s of community groups, councils, schools TAFEs and universities.
Knowledge of curriculum criteria and teaching experience would be very useful as we develop new resources.
For the less tech savvy, there are also volunteer positions which only require a friendly confident phone manner.
